It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Guess what happened to me? YOP, my whole Server crashed down and ALL my Images on my Server get LOST. It's so frustrating and I'm so pissed off. I need a new server now. It should be not that expensive and needs to have good conditions. Anyone got an Idea? Please help me.
It's so f*** up because my whole Blog looks so...empty now, that I need to use ImageShack for the first time now
anyways, I loaded a new Webcamfile to my Deviantart Profile.

I know of an excellent server available from a friend-of-a-friend. A smaller private server that offers back-end server side technologies such as MySQL and PHP as well as your own email server. All with full control panel access and configuration. All you need is your own domain name and point the DNS records at this server and away you go! The guy running it will help you out with any problems. Server is physically located in here in the UK but serves world-wide clients.

Use a personal server with RAID 1 technology or if you have money RAID 5 technology, you'll never lost any datas ever, note me if you want more information. Online server are not interesting 'cause you can't

I bought a NAS last month with RAID 1 it's amazing with a large bandwidth

Save your pictures on an external hard disk and also on CD. So you'll always have your pictures safely

Ja supers**** das ganze. Aber aus Fehlern lernt man. Man sollte schon mindestens 1x p/Monat ein Backup fahren, oder noch besser automatische Backups wie z.B. Cronjobs drüber laufen lassen. Ich denke sowas würd nicht mehr passieren

ALWAYS save the homepage files on your laptop... and best on an external too, my hard-disk crashed and i have only acess to internet, but not to my files...

Sorry to hear you lost so many things. I have serveral here in germany with good conditions, but this won't help you. Sorry. Doesn't your provider do backups? Mine do for two weeks into the past and I can restore them if I need. I also have a mirror of my websites on second server. it's for testing and for emergency situation.
